## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING AT CREST AIRPARK, (S36), ON RUNWAY 15, THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK AT APPROXIMATELY MID FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST PARTIALLY OFF TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT AND STUDENT PILOT ON BOARD WERE NOT INJURED. THE PILOT LATER STATED THAT HE WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION TO THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE AIRCRAFT WHO WAS THE STUDENT. HE SAID THAT THE STUDENT WAS LANDING THE AIRCRAFT AND APPLIED TOO MUCH BRAKING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11CA408](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11CA408), Aug 27, 2011: Cessna 140 (N2719N), Kent, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's inadvertent application of the brakes during the landing roll, which resulted in the airplane nosing over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
