## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THERE WAS A STRONG WESTERLY FLOW AT 300 FT. ON FINAL THE AIR BECAME MORE TURBULENT CLOSE TO THE SURFACE. UPON LANDING IN A CRAB, THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL, RAN OVER A WOODEN POST AND CAME TO REST NEAR A HANGAR. DURING THE ROLLOUT AND COLLISION WITH THE POST, THE WING KEEL MEMBER WAS BENT BY THE DOWNWARD FORCE OF AN AIRCRAFT CABLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11CA422](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11CA422), Sep 2, 2011: Air Creation Clipper 582S (N5099A), Enumclaw, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
