## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECENT INTO SEA AT ABOUT 12000 FEET THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTER A BIRD STRIKE. THE PILOT DID NOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS VECTORED FOR VISUAL APPROACH TO 34L. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH OUT INCIDENT AND TAXED TO GATE.AFTER LANDING THE PILOT REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT HAD SUSTAINED SOME DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE JUST BELOW THE NUMBER ONE FLIGHT DECK WINDOW. THE AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED AT THIS TIME AND MAINTENANCE WAS CONTACTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
