## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LOST THE USE OF HIS LEFT BRAKE DURING LANDING AT LAKE HOOD STRIP. AS THE AIRPLANE SLOWED THE RUDDER BECAME INEFFECTIVE FOR STEERING AND ONLY THE RIGHT BRAKE WAS OPERATIONAL. THE AIRPLANE WENT PAST THE END OF THE RUNWAY AT A SLOW SPEED, THE WHEELS HIT A SOFT, MARSHY AREA CAUSING THE AIRPLANE TO TIP OVER ON ITS BACK CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TOP OF THE RUDDER, THE LEFT WING TIP AND BENDING BOTH PROPELLER BLADES.IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LEFT BRAKELINE FLARE CRACKED AT THE UPPER FUSELAGE HYDRAULIC FITTING CAUSING THE HYDRAULIC FLUID TO LEAK OUT. BRAKE PRESSURE WAS THEN UNAVAILABLE.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE FULLY OPERATIONAL WHEN HE COMPLETED HIS RUN-UP CHECKS PRIOR TO TAKE-OFF. HE THEN FLEW 3.8 HOURS BEFORE LANDING BACK AT LAKE HOOD STRIP WHERE THIS EVENT OCCURED.
