## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT STATED THE AIRCRAFT WAS OFF RUNWAY CENTERLINE. AFTER HE MADE THE CORRECTIONS TO GET BACK ON TO THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE, HE WAS TO LOW TO FLARE SO HE LEVELED THE AIRCRAFT. THE NOSE LANDING GEAR THEN CONTACTED THE RUNWAY, HARD. HE TRIED TO CORRECT BY ADDING POWER AND THEN PULLED THE POWER BACK. HE SAID THAT THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED 6-7 TIMES BEFORE FINALLY SETTLING ON TO THE RUNWAY. HE WAS ABLE TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE MAINTENANCE HANGAR. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HE WAS TO FOCUSED ON RUNWAY CENTERLINE AND NOT DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT HAS MINOR DAMAGE; THE NOSE WHEEL BEARINGS POPPED OUT OF THE WHEEL HALF'S AND THE RIGHT WHEEL HALF HAD A PIECE BROKEN OFF. THE RIGHT NOSE WHEEL STEERING ROD END WAS BENT AND THE LEFT LOWER ENGINE MOUNT BRACE WAS ALSO BENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
