## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 17 SEP 2011, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (PIC) WAS OPERATING N82821. UPON LANDING HIS AIRCRAFT AT WINDHAM AIRPORT, CT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PROCEEDED TO TAXI HIS AIRCRAFT WHEN HE NOTICED THE LEFT WING DIP. HE DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT AND INSPECTED SAME, THINKING A BLOWN STRUT, WHEN IN FACT THE LANDING GEAR WAS COLLAPSED. HE THEN WITH ASSISTANCE FROM A MAINTENANCE MAN REPOSITIONED THE GEAR AND FINISHED TAXIING TO HIS "T" HANGAR. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF WINDHAM AIRCRAFT REPAIR HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE BOLT ATTACHING THE LANDING GEAR REAR TRUNNION TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS BROKEN AND APPEARED TO SHOW SIGNS OF CORROSION PRESENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
