## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 1, 2012, THE GREENSBORO FSDO RECIEVED AN EMAIL WITH A LETTER AND VIDEO ATTACHED STATING THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HAD AN ACCIDENT IN HIS AIRCRAFT ON OCTOBER 25, 2012 ON HIS FARM IN EFLAND, NC. THE LETTER STATED THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FLEW THE AIRCRAFT OUT OF ANNUAL INSPECTION. THE ATTACHED VIDEO SHOWED A HIGH WING CESSNA LANDING ON A FARM AND FLIPPING OVER WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL HIT A HOLE OR DITCH.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE ALLEGED ACCIDENT AND RESPONDED THAT IT WAS A TAXI INCIDENT THAT DID NOT INVOLVE A FLIGHT AND THEREFORE WAS NOT REPORTED. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION DID PROVE THE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED DURING THE LANDING ROLL OF THE CE-182 AND THAT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OUT OF ANNUAL INSPECTION AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DID NOT POSSESS A VALID ENDORSEMENT FOR A CURRENT BIENNIAL FLIGHT REVIEW.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA12LA358](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA12LA358), Oct 9, 2011: Cessna 182C (N8527T), Efland, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of directional control during the landing roll, which resulted in a collision with a ditch.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
