## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT HAD BEEN FLYING FLOATS ALL SUMMER AND RECENTLY INSTALLED 26" TIRES WITH A NEW DOUBLE PUCK BRAKE SYSTEM. WHILE LANDING ON A 1000' LONG RUNWAY THE PILOT APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE DOUBLE PUCK BRAKE SYSTEM WAS MORE AFFECTIVE THAN HE HAD ANTICIPATED. THE AIRCRAFT SLOWLY NOSED OVER TO AN INVERTED POSITION. THIS 8020-23 IS BEING CLOSED WHILE FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THE AIRWORTHINESS OF THE AIRCRAFT IS CONDUCTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC12CA004](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC12CA004), Oct 22, 2011: Bellanca 7GCBC (N11668), Aniak, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive use of brakes during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
