## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SATURDAY EVENING OCTOBER 22,2011, A SOUTHWEST AIRLINES B737 OPERATING AS FLIGHT 2585 FROM ORLANDO TO BALTIMORE WAS STRUCK BY A FUEL TRUCK OPERATED BY ASIG FUELING COMPANY. AN INPECTOR FROM THE BALTIMORE FSDO OFFICE WAS DISPATCHED TO INVESTIGATE THE INCIDENT ON OCTOBER 24,2011. AFTER TALKING TO EMPLOYEES AND WITNESSES FROM BOTH COMPANIES INVOLVED HE LEARNED THE AIRCRAFT WAS TURNING TOWARD GATE B-10 JUST OUTSIDE THE INTERNAL VEHICLE ACCESS ROAD WHEN A FUEL TRUCK DRIVEN BY A ASIG EMPLOYEE ON THE ROAD FAILED TO GIVE RIGHT OF WAY. THE MARSHALLERS SIGNALED TO THE CAPTAIN TO STOP. ABOUT THE SAME TIME THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP THE FUEL TRUCK HAD ENTERED THE AIRCRAFT STERIL PARKING AREA AND THE TWO HAD A MINOR COLLISION. THIS RESULTED IN MINOR DAMAGE TO LEFT WING LEADING EDGE WING TIP. THE TRUCK DRIVER THEN BACKED UP AND ALLOWED THE B737 TO CONTINUE INTO B-10 TO PARK. THE FUELER HAS RESIGNED HIS POSITION WITH ASIG.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
