## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT SAID THAT THE AIRCRAFT PULLED OR WEATHERVANED ON LANDING ROLLOUT. THE WX CONDITIONS AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT WERE WELL WITHIN THE OPERATIONAL LIMITATIONS OF THE AIRCRAFT; CLEAR SKIES, WITH LIGHT WINDS FROM THE NORTHWEST (5-8KTS). ON LANDING ROLLOUT, THE PILOT ALLOWED THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR TO DRIFT OFF THE PAVEMENT OF THE RUNWAY AND THEN CORRECTED WITH AN ABRUPT CONTROL INPUT, INCREASING POWER, PUSHING RIGHT RUDDER AND APPLYING RIGHT BRAKING THAT SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSED A SEVERE AND ABRUPT RIGHT TURN. THIS ACTION ALSO CAUSED THE TAIL TO RISE. DUE TO LACK OF CORRECT FLIGHT CONTROL INPUT, THE AIRCRAFT TAIL THEN ROSE TO A HEIGHT SO THAT THE PROPELLER, NOSE COWLING, AND SPINNER STRUCK THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT THEN ROLLED TO THE RIGHT, STRIKING THE RIGHT WINGTIP PUSHING IT INBOARD, COMPRESSING THE WINGTIP AGAINST THE RIGHT AILERON AND BINDING THE FLIGHT CONTROLS. AFTER THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP, THE PILOT EXITED THROUGH THE LEFT BOARDING DOOR. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED IN THAT POSITION UNTIL A GROUND CREW PULLED THE AIRCRAFT DOWN OFF ITS NOSE AND PLACING IT ON ITS LANDING GEAR WHERE IT WAS PULLED TO THE RAMP.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
