## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N2182R (CE182) AND N1855Y (CE172) COLLIDED ON A MOVEMENT AREA, QUEBEC (Q)RAMP AT FORT LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT. N1855Y PORT'S WING WAS SEVERED BY N2182R PROPELLER BLADE WHEN THE TWO AIRCRAFT IMPACTED EACH OTHER AT NINETY DEGREES ANGLE. LIMITED MANEUVERING, CONGESTED PARKING SPACE, TIME OF THE DAY AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTION NATURE OF EACH FLIGHT MIGHT HAVE BEEN CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THE DYNAMIC OF THIS ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA12LA066](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA12LA066), Nov 3, 2011: Cessna 172S (N1855Y), Fort Lauderdale, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The Cessna 172 flight instructor and student pilot's inadequate visual lookout and failure to maintain clearance from the stationary Cessna 182.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
