## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PIC SAID HE WAS CONDUCTING A TEST FLIGHT. AFTER DEPARTURE THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT COME UP. THE PIC LEFT THE GEAR HANDLE IN DOWN POSITION AND REMAINED IN THE PATTERN AT BEND MUNI TO RETURN FOR LANDING. THE PIC SAID THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL, BUT WHILE ROLLING OUT THE NOSE AND LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED.THE PIC LATER DISCOVERED HE HAD WIRED THE SQUAT SWITCH BACKWARDS CAUSING THE GEAR TO RETRACT ON ROLL OUT AFTER DEACCELERATING PAST 40 KNOTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
