## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE HELICOPTER LANDED ON THE ROOFTOP HELIPORT OF THE HOSPITAL TO OFFLOAD A PATIENT. DURING COAST DOWN OF THE MAIN AND TAIL ROTOR SYSTEM AFTER THE ENGINES HAD BEEN SHUT DOWN AND THE ROTORS WERE TURNING VERY SLOWLY A STRONG GUST OF WIND CAUSED A MAIN ROTOR BLADE TO FLEX UP AND DOWN RESULTING IN THE MAIN ROTOR BLADE STRIKING THE TAIL BOOM DESTROYING THE MAIN ROTOR BLADE AND THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER VERTICAL END PLATE AND DAMAGING THE TAIL BOOM ON THE L/H SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
