## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS INITIALLY ASSIGNED RUNWAY 7R AT MKE. 7 MILES OUT HE WAS DIRECTED TO SIDESTEP TO RUNWAY 7L. ONCE ESTABLISHED ON FINAL FOR 7L HE WAS DIRECTED TO LAND AND HOLD SHORT OF 1/19. THE PILOT WAS 10 KNOTS FAST, AND IN AN EFFORT TO COMPLY WITH THE CLEARANCE HE LANDED HARD, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
