## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN AT APPROXIMATELY TEN (10) FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY, THE PILOT OBSERVED FROM THE CORNER OF HIS EYE, TWO (2) DEER CROSSING THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR HIT ONE OF THE DEER, CAUSING THE LEFT MAIN GEAR TO COLLASPE. THE AIRCRAFT SLID DOWN THE RUNWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN HUNDRED (1500) FEET. THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT MAIN GEAR AND NOSE GEAR LEFT THE RUNWAY SURFACE THE LAST FIVE HUNDRED (500) FEET, AND CAME TO REST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
