HE MANEUVERED SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID IT AND AFTER TOUCHING DOWN THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO DRAFT TO THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY UNTIL THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DROPPED OFF INTO THE MUD WHERE THE AIRCRAFT BECAME STUCK. WHILE WAITING TO BE REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY EDGE, HE RADIOED APPROACH CONTROL AND MONITORED THE CTAF FREQUENCY TO ADVISE INDOUND AIRCRAFT THAT HIS AIRCRAFT WAS A CONFLICT FOR LANDING TRAFFIC. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
