## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

12/24/2011, N33SR, AT OR AROUND 1350, THE AIRCRAFTS LEFT WING HIT THE AIRPORT ROAD AND CAME TO REST JUST OFF OF AIRPORT PROPERTY (22I) ON THE SIDE OF AIRPORT ROAD FACING A HEADING OF 190 DEGREES. TWO PASSENGERS DIED AT THE SCENE, AND THE PILOT DIED LATER AT THE HOSPITAL. BOTH WINGS SEPERATED THE AIRCRAFT, AND THE TAIL SECTION AND ENGINE REMAINED CONNECTED TO THE AIRFRAME. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE ACCIDENT SCENE AND MOVED TO A STORAGE LOT. 12/27/2011, THE AIRFRAME AND ENGINE WERE INSPECTED BY THE NTSB IIC, FAA IIC AND A TEXTRON LYCOMING AIR SAFETY INSPECTOR, FINDING NO ABNORMALITIES WITH THE AIRFRAME OR ENGINE. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT AND NO CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE NOTED WITH THE AIRPORT (22I).

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN12FA115](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN12FA115), Dec 24, 2011: Beech 19A (N33SR), McArthur, OH, substantial damage, 3 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain airplane control during an attempted go-around.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
