## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SATURDAY 31 DEC 2011, AT APPROXIMATELY 1111 LOCAL TIME, N7408Z, A PIPER PA 25-235 "PAWNEE", IMPACTED A PARKING LOT JUST SOUTH OF CRAIG MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, (KCRG), JACKSONVILLE, FL. THE PILOT SUFFERED FATAL INJURIES AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ENGAGED IN BANNER TOW OPERATIONS, AND HAD SUCCESSFULLY PICKED UP AND BEGUN A CLIMB WITH A LARGE BANNER JUST MOMENTS PRIOR TO THE MISHAP. A MOUNTED PARKING LOT SECURITY CAMERA RECORDED THE PAWNEE'S INITIAL CLIMBOUT AFTER ENGAGING THE BANNER. THE CAMERA ALSO RECORDED THE BANNER FLUTTERING TO THE GROUND ON AIRPORT PROPERTY JUST SOUTH OF RUNWAY 23 AFTER THE BANNER HAD BEEN JETTISONED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE CAMERA RECORDED THE FINAL MOMENTS OF THE FLIGHT, IN WHICH THE AIRCRAFT IS SEEN DESCENDING IN A RIGHT-HAND SPIN AND SUBSEQUENT IMPACT.
