## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING SIMULATED EMERGENCY LANDING, NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED AFTER LANDING. A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI) WAS GIVING DUAL INSTRUCTION TOWARD "COMPLEX" ENDORSEMENT. AIRCRAFT LANDED SHORT OF RUNWAY, AND IMPACT WITH THE GROUND CAUSED THE NOSE WHEEL TO COLLAPSE. AIRCRAFT SLID ACROSS RUNWAY, COMING TO REST IN THE DIRT ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF RUNWAY, APPROXIMATELY 1200-1400 FEET FROM INITIAL IMPACT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
