## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01-10-2012, N75292, A CE-172-N, OPERATED BY AN FAA CERTIFIED PRIVATE PILOT AIRMAN DEPARTED RUNWAY 22 TO PRACTICE CURRENCY MANEUVERS IN THE PRACTICE AREA 10 MILES TO THE WEST OF THE AMARILLO RICK HUSBAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (AMA), IN AMARILLO, TEXAS. THE PILOT RETURNED TO AMA TO PRACTICE TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 4. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS WERE REPORTED BY THE AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVATION SYSTEM (AWOS), WINDS WERE FROM THE NORTH (360 DEGREES), AT 11 KNOTS, 10 STATUTE MILES VISIBILITY, WITH CLEAR SKIES. THE TEMPERATURE WAS 13 CELSIUS WITH A MINUS 2 CELSIUS DEW POINT. THE RUNWAY SURFACE WAS DRY. DURING THE LANDING THE AIRCRAFT LANDED IN A LOW PITCH ATTITUDE AND BANKED RIGHT CAUSING A PROPELLER STRIKE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING TIP. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT AND WAS NOT INJUERED IN THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
