## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ON APPROACH TO DHN, THE PILOT STATED HE SELECTED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. THE MAIN GEAR EXTENDED, BUT THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT. THE PILOT LEFT THE PATTERN AND COMPLETED THE EMERGENCY CHECKLIST. THE PILOT STATED HE WAS UNABLE TO GET THE NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED, SO HE EXECUTED THE LANDING WITH ONLY THE MAIN GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP AND PILOT EGRESSED WITH NO INJURIES. DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT WAS MINIMAL. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FROM DHN EXAMINED THE NOSE GEAR AND FOUND THE NOSE GEAR ACTUATOR BROKEN IN HALF. THIS FAILED COMPONENT WOULD NOT ALLOW THE EXTENSION AND LOCKING OF THE NOSE GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
