## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF DROPING EMERGENCY SUPPLIES TO SOME INJURED AND STRANDED SNOWMOBILERS AT ABOUT THE 8300 FT. LEVEL ON MT. BAKER. AFTER THE DROP HE APPLIED FULL POWER AND BANKED SLIGHTLY LEFT HEADING AWAY FROM TERRAIN. HE ENCOUNTERED WHAT HE BELIEVED TO BE A DOWNDRAFT AT THIS TIME THE AIRCRAFT STALLED WITH THE LEFT WING SLIGHTLY LOW. HE QUICKLY LOWERED THE NOSE AND ATTEMPTED TO LEVEL THE WINGS.THE LEFT WING DROPPED FURTHER AND HE WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. WITH LITTLE RESPONSE FROM THE CONTROLS HE LOST ALTITUDE RAPIDLY AND IMPACTED THE SNOWY GLACIER IN A DOWNHILL AND WESTERLY HEADING. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON TOUCH DOWN AND CAME TO A STOP ON THE GLACIER, UPSIDE DOWN, AND FACING EAST.
