## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AN ISLANDER, BN2, A RECIPROCATING AIRCRAFT DEPARTED KODIAK AIRPORT AT 0947 LOCAL TIME ON A CHARTER. 20 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT THE LEFT ENGINE LOST POWER, PILOT ALSO NOTICED A LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE, PILOT INITIATED EMERGENCY ACTION, VOLUNTARILY SHUT DOWN AND FEATHERED THE ENGINE. LANDED AIRCRAFT UNEVENTFULLY WITH TWO PAX ON BOARD, NO INJURIES. FLIGHT WAS VFR IN VMC CONDITIONS. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
