## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 27, 2012, AT APPROXIMATELY 1845 MST, N744E, A CESSNA CE-210A, SINGLE ENGINE AIRPLANE, REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND A GROUP OF PARTNERS, STRUCK A COYOTE AT ROTATION DURING ITS TAKE OFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 8L AT THE EL PASO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ELP), EL PASO, TEXAS. DURING CLIMB OUT, THE PILOT REPORTED THE STRIKE TO ELP TOWER (ATCT) AND REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. THE PILOT RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT, REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT COMPLETE THE EXTENSION CYCLE; DID NOT INDICATE A "DOWN AND LOCKED" CONDITION. AT APPROXIMATELY 1930 MST, THE AIRCRAFT MADE ITS LANDING ON RUNWAY 26L. DURING ROLL-OUT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR, THE GEAR DOORS, THE NOSE BOWL OF THE COWLING, THE PROPELLER AND POSSIBLY THE ENGINE DUE TO ITS SUDDEN STOPPAGE. THE PILOT AND THE ONE PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED. THE COYOTE WAS KILLED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
