## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING AN ILS APPROACH DURING DESCENT THROUGH 3500 FEET THE FLIGHT CREW STARTED EXPERIENCING A RUNAWAY AUTOPILOT SITUATION. ATTEMPTS TO DISCONNECT THE AUTOPILOT WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. FLIGHT CREW FOUGHT TO CONTROL THE AIRCRAFT UNTILL APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET ALTITUDE WHEN THE AUTOPILOT DISCONNECTED AND THEY MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. TEMPORARY LOSS OF RADIO COMMUNICATION WAS ALSO EXPERIENCED DURING THIS DESCENT. ONCE ON THE GROUND AFTER RESETING ALL BREAKERS AND SWITCHES THE PROBLEMS COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
