## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT DURING THE FIRST LANDING ATTEMPT, ALL GEAR INDICATONS WERE NORMAL. UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT SAID HE HEARD A FAINT NOISE INDICATING THE BEGINNING OF A POTENTIAL PROP STRIKE. HE THEN EXECUTED A GO-AROUND. HE CHECKED THE GEAR POSITION INDICATORS, AND THERE WERE NO LONGER ANY GREEN OR RED GEAR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. CONTROL TOWER PERSONNEL SAID THE LANDING GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN. DURING THE SECOND LANDING, THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. SHORTLY BEFORE THE AIRPLANE SKIDDED TO A STOP, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THEN THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. MY INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DOORS, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR DOORS AND DAMAGE TO THE LOWER FUSELAGE BELLY SKIN. BOTH PROPELLERS WERE BENT AT THE TIPS AND HAD SEVERE SCRAPE MARKS. I RETURNED TO CPS WITH INSPECTOR LOUIE BETTIS TO INSPECT AIRCRAFT AND SPEAK TO MECHANICS AFTER THE AIRCRAFT WAS PLACED ON JACKS. NO POSITIVE INDICATIONS COULD BE FOUND AS TO WHY THIS AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ON LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
