## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER LANDING AND TAVIING DOWN THE RUNWAY A GUST OF WIND BLEW THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE RUNWAY CAUSING IT TO HIT A STACK OF PIPES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN12CA185](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN12CA185), Mar 11, 2012: Cessna 180H (N3424Y), Belle Chase, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The bent tailwheel spring that allowed the tailwheel to caster when the airplane encountered a wind gust on landing roll.

## Other reports on N3424Y (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19810817057729A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19810817057729A), Aug 17, 1981: Cessna 180H (N3424Y), AK, Damage unknown, 3 fatal. Airplane became missing. Was considerable over gros weight on departure. Forecast turbulence a negative factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
