## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING FINAL APPROACH RUNWAY 7L AT KDAB A LARGE BIRD STRUCK THE RIGHT WING. AIRCRAFT ALTITUDE WAS 350 FEET, AIRSPEED 90 KTS AND 2 MILES FROM RUNWAY.THE INSTRUCTOR TOOK COMMAND OF THE AIRCRAFT DETERMINED THERE WERE NO ABNORMAL EFFECTS ON AIRCRAFT FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS ALTHOUGH THERE WAS WING LEADING EDGE DAMAGE 2 FROM WING TIP. HE CONTINUED APPROACH AND MADE NORMAL LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
