As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 12 AT PLK WITH A DIRECT CROSSWIND GUSTING TO 20 KNOTS. HE WAS UNABLE TO CORRECT FOR WIND DRIFT OR MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. HE SKIDDED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
