## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 24, 2012, AT APPROXIMATELY 16:52 HOURS AIRCRAFT BEECHCRAFT C-90, N203BK, S/N LJ-1988 DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AT THE FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KFLL). THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON A 14 CFR 91 FLIGHT FROM KFLL TO MONROE REGIONAL AIRPORT (KMLU). SHORTLY AFTER TAKE OFF THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) NOTICED THE RIGHT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE INDICATION WAS HIGHER THAN NORMAL. THE OIL PRESSURE INDICATION THEN BEGAN TO DROP AND CONTINUED TO FALL THROUGH THE NORMAL RANGE AND INTO THE LOW PRESSURE "RED" AREA. HOWEVER, THE OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATOR REMAINED NORMAL. AT THIS TIME, THE PIC REQUESTED TO RETURN TO KFLL AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE PIC PERFORMED AN INTENTIONAL ENGINE SHUTDOWN AND PROPELLER FEATHERING OF THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE PIC PERFORMED A SINGLE ENGINE LANDING ON RUNWAY 09 WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
