## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING ON RAMP FOR DEPARTURE. AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY, THE PILOT REPORTED A LOSS OF BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RAMP AREA INTO THE GRASS AND STOPPED. NO DAMAGES OR INJURIES OCCURRED.A REPAIR STATION INSPECTED BOTH BRAKES. LEAKAGE WAS NOTED FROM THE RIGHT CALIPER PISTONS DUE TO A BLOWN SEAL. NEW SEALS WERE INSTALLED. A MALFUNCTION/DEFECT REPORT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED. NO DISCREPANCIES WERE NOTED ON THE LEFT BRAKE.THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS LAST INSPECTED 60 FLIGHT HOURS BEFORE THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
