## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON A DEMONSTRATION FLIGHT WITH ANOTHER PILOT. THE PILOT IN COMMAND LANDED IN A COVE PROTECTED FROM WINDS. THE PILOT MADE A NORMAL APPROACH AND LANDING. UPON TOUCHDOWN THE AIRCRAFT WATER LOOPED. THE PILOT IN COMMAND WATER TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE NEAREST SHORE AND BEACHED THE AIRCRAFT. TWO INJURIES, MINOR. AIRCRAFT DAMAGE, SUBSTAINTIAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR12CA151](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR12CA151), Apr 1, 2012: Lake LA-4-200 (N32LB), Lake Havasu City, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not maintain directional control during a water touchdown.

## Other reports on N32LB (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19790204005279I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19790204005279I), Feb 4, 1979: Conaer LA4200 (N32LB), Starkville, MS, Minor damage. Left gear collapsed on roll out, gear swinging lever bolt came out.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
