## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ON TAKEOFF, AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE, PILOT LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. AT APPROXIMATELY FIVE FEET AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE, THE LEFT WING OF THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AND HIT ANOTHER PARKED AIRCRAFT BEFORE COMING TO A STOP.EYEWITNESS REPORTED DUST DEVILS WERE REPORTED ON AND NEAR THE RUNWAY IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS ACCIDENT, WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN A CONTRIBUING FACTOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR12LA165](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR12LA165), Apr 13, 2012: Piper PA-28-140 (N3583K), San Manuel, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the takeoff, which resulted in a runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
