## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS DEMONSTRATING THE AIRCRAFTS TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA). HE WAS MANUVERING AND HAD DROPPED HIS GPS/BLUETOOTH HEADSET ADAPTER. WHILE HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO RETREIVE IT, THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT BECAME POINTED AT THE GROUND. HE PULLED FULL AFT ON THE STICK AND THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT ALTITUDE TO RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED NOSE LOW WITH THE WINGS LEVEL AND SLID TO A STOP.THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN12LA260](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN12LA260), Apr 25, 2012: Thrush S2R-H80 (N510KW), Bryan, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's diverted attention, which resulted in a loss of control while maneuvering the airplane at a low altitude.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
