## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS REPORTED TO BE ON AN INSTRUMENT TRAINING FLIGHT. THE CFI STATED THAT ON TOUCH DOWN, THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE PIC/ OWNER STATED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN AND THEY INITIATED A RATHER STEEP DESCENT DUE TO ATC REQUIRMENT TO MAINTAIN 4000 FEET AT TULE VOR. WHEN TOUCH DOWN OCCURRED THE PIC THOUGHT THE GEAR JUST COLLASPSED BENETH THE AIRCRAFT AND THEN IT SLID TO A STOP.FOLLOW UP INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY REASON FOR THE LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE.AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN FERRIED TO LAKEPORT, CA. FOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
