## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 5/3/2012, THE SOUTHWEST REGIONAL OPERATIONS CENTER FAXED THE DAILY REPORT TO DALLAS FSDO IDENTIFYING THE FOLLOWING:ON 5/3/2012 AT ADS (ADDISON, TEXAS) AT 1520 LOCAL, "ADS: N171TX, SR20, HAD A FLAT TIRE WHILE TAXIING TO RUNWAY 15, BLOCKING THE TAXIWAY….. AIRCRAFT REQUIRED A TUG AND NO OTHER ASSISTANCE."THE EVENT WAS INITIALLY CLASSIFIED AS AN OCCURRENCE, BUT UPGRADED TO AN INCIDENT DURING THE INVESTIGATION DUE TO EVIDENCE SUPPORTING A POTENTIAL HAZARD TO SAFETY. THE NOSE TIRE WAS FOUND TO BE FLAT. A SMALL RUPTURE WAS OBSERVED IN THE NOSE TIRE TUBE MEASURING APPROXIMATELY .25" LENGTH BY .01" IN WIDTH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
