## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE DAL 120 WAS EN ROUTE FROM SGBR TO KJFK, ABOUT 1.5 HOURS AFTER TAKEOFF, THE CAPTAIN BECAME SICK. AFTER CONFERRING WITH DELTA FLIGHT CONTROL AND MEDICAL PERSONNEL, DAL 120 DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED TO MIA WHERE IT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT AND TAXIED TO THE GATE. THE ARRIVAL TIME WAS ABOUT 0848L ON 05/15/2012.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
