## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT FLEW APPROACH TO WHITTIER RUNWAY 22. HE WAS NOT RUSHED, WEATHER 2,900 FT OVERCAST WITH WINDS LIGHT AND VARIABLE. PILOT FORGOT BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST. AS HE CROSSED RUNWAY THRESHOLD HE REALIZED THAT HE WAS LOWER THAN NORMAL AND WAS TOO LATE TO INITIATE A GO-AROUND. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH LANDING GEAR RETRACTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC12CA040](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC12CA040), May 20, 2012: Cessna T210L (N732BE), Whittier, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure use the prelanding checklist and to extend the landing gear before landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
