## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKEOFF PILOT ABORTED APPROX 1900 FEET DOWN A 3700 FOOT RUNWAY WITH A LOAD OF CHEMICAL. THE PILOT REPORTED NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH AIRCRAFT AND THAT IT DID NOT FEEL LIKE IT WAS GOING TO FLY. DURING ABORT PILOT STATED HE USED REVERSE THRUST AFTER BRAKING ONLY WOULD NOT STOP AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO END OF RUNWAY. PILOT STATED HE MAY HAVE GOT ON REVERSE TO HARD AND WENT INTO A 180 DEGREE GROUND LOOP TO THE LEFT SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGING THE RIGHT WING. THE PILOT STATED HE USED THE FIRST MARK OF FLAPS WHICH IS MARKED ON THE LEFT FLAP. THIS IS TO BE VERIFIED UPON WING REPAIR WHEN MARKS CAN BE INSPECTED. FIRST MARK WOULD BE CONSISTENT WITH 10 DEGREES OF FLAPS WHICH IS WHAT AFM SUGGESTS BE USE TO TAKE OFF WITH A LOAD IN HOPPER. THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED IF NEEDED TO DOCUMENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN12LA344](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN12LA344), Jun 4, 2012: Air Tractor AT401 (N4547Q), Kenmare, ND, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during an aborted takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
