## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FOURTH SOLO LANDING AT HOME BASE, THE STUDENT PILOT LANDING RUNWAY 24 AT LAKEWOOD AIRPORT (N12), APPEARED TO LAND NOSE LOW (IDENTIFIED THROUGH AIRPORT/FBO VIDEO). AS AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN, NOSE WHEEL CYLINDER COMPRESSED TO THE STOPS AND THE NOSE WHEEL AXEL SHEARED OFF. THE NOSE WHEEL TIRE DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY, SLIGHTLY LEFT (SOUTHEAST) OF THE CENTERLINE. THE AIRCRAFT NOSE WHEEL FORK WAS "GROUND" DOWN. THE PROP STUCK THE RUNWAY WITH EVENTUAL STOPPAGE OF THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE. NO INJURIES INDICATED. STUDENT PILOT SHUT AIRCRAFT DOWN AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
