## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR12LA262](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR12LA262), Jun 8, 2012: Cessna 120 (N1875N), Smith Valley, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the right main landing gear strut due to corrosion-induced fatigue, which resulted in a runway excursion.

## Other reports on N1875N (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19740923033409A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19740923033409A), Sep 23, 1974: Cessna 120 (N1875N), Dawson, GA, Substantial damage. Wind gusting 12K. No FAA record of plt cert.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
