## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS LANDING IN THE AIRCRAFT OWNERS, 1370' FARM FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN IN THE DESIGNATED FIELD THEN OVERRAN IT AND ENTERED AN ONION FIELD IN WHICH THE GROUND WAS MUCH SOFTER. AFTER TRAVELING APPROXIMATLY 200 FEET IN THE SOFT FIELD THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA12CA393](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA12CA393), Jun 11, 2012: North American AT-6C (N7055K), Delmar, DE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to go around after not attaining the proper touchdown point, which resulted in a runway excursion and noseover.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
