## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 14, 2012, ON APPROACH TO MCKINNEY AIRPORT (TKI), PIC, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FAILED TO LOWER HIS LANDING GEAR WHICH RESULTED IN A GEAR UP LANDING. WITH POWER AT IDLE ON DOWNWIND FROM PARALLEL TO END OF LANDING RUNWAY. PRACTICE OF EMERGENCY LANDING, (SIMULATED ENGINE FAILURE). NO POWER WAS ADDED AT ANYTIME. DID NOT REALIZE THE GEAR HAD NOT BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL AFTER THE LANDING FLARE WHEN THE AIRCRAFT WAS SETTLING IN, TOO LATE TO ADD POWER. THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE WAS MINOR, ONLY AN ADF ANTENNA ON BELLY OF THE AIRCARFT WAS DAMAGED AND THE PROPELLER WHICH STRUCK THE RUNWAY AND BENT THE TIPS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
