## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 20, 2012 A STUDENT PILOT ON A SOLO CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM GRASS VALLEY (GOO) TO WESTOVER AMADOR-JACKSON (JAQ) AIRPORT EXITED THE RUNWAY AFTER LANDING TRAVELED DOWN AN EMBANKMENT AND NOSED OVER. THE STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT HE TOUCHED DOWN NORMAL. AS THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED THE GROUND IT "WENT CRAZY". THE AIRCRAFT STEERED TO VEER TO THE LEFT. THE STUDENT PILOT APPLIED CONTROL INPUTS TO COUNTERACT THE MOVEMENT AND THE AIRPLANE SWERVED TO THE RIGHT AND LEFT A FEW TIMES BEFORE IT EXCITED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY NEAR MID FIELD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR12LA272](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR12LA272), Jun 21, 2012: Cessna 150F (N524CC), Jackson, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's loss of directional control during landing, which resulted in a runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
