## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED BOUNTIFUL UTAH (BTF) EN ROUTE TO PAGE ARIZONA (PGA). AFTER PASSING OVER LOA UTAH (38U) THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT DOOR CAME OPEN. THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND AT ESCALANTE UTAH (17L) TO CHECK THE DOOR. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD SELECTED GEAR DOWN PRIOR TO LANDING, BUT THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON THE ASPHALT RUNWAY WITH THE GEAR UP CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDING DAMAGE TO PROP BLADES AND BELLY SKIN. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIFTED AFTER THE INCIDENT AND THE LANDING GEAR EXTENDED NORMALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
