## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

IN CRUISE FLIGHT AIRCRAFT ELEVATOR CONTROL WAS LOST. PILOT LANDED AIRCRAFT AFTER 6 ATTEMPTS USING THE THROTTLE AND ELEVATOR TRIM. ON LANDING THE PROP STRUCK THE GROUND. THIS WAS THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT HAD NO INJURIES. UPON INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED; THE BOLT THAT RETAINS THE PUSH ROD TUBE FROM THE CONTOL YOKE TO THE ELEVATOR BELCRANK WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED. ONLY THE BOLT AND WASHER WERE FOUND IN THE BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
