## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER N7322V TOUCHED DOWN ON THE CENTERLINE OF RUNWAY 31 AT PORTLAND HILLSBORO AIRPORT, IT IMMEDIATELY DEPARTED THE LEFT BORDER OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE ADJACENT GRASS INFIELD. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP AFTER IMPACTING A PAPI LIGHT DISPLAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR12CA299](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR12CA299), Jul 6, 2012: Bellanca 17-30 (N7322V), Hillsboro, OR, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during landing, which resulted in a runway excursion and collision with an airport lighting system.

## Other reports on N7322V (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19830721041189I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19830721041189I), Jul 21, 1983: Blanca 1730 (N7322V), Chino, CA. Rejected takeoff due to believed low power. Unable to stop. Ran off end of runway. No malfunctions found.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
