## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING AT CLEAR CREEK THE PILOT RAISED THE TAIL TO PRACTICE OPERATING THE AIRCRAFT ON TWO WHEELS IN AN OFF-AIRPORT SITUATION. THE ENGINE WAS AT VERY LOW RPM, PILOT REPORTED ABOUT 900 RPM. WHEN HE PULLED BACK ON THE STICK TO PUT THE TAIL DOWN, HE ALSO APPLIED BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN HE DID THIS THE TAIL DID NOT REACT TO THE STICK INPUT AND THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER SLOWLY AND CAME TO REST ON ITS BACK. PTRS NUMBER AL01201202295

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC12CA071](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC12CA071), Jul 6, 2012: Bellanca 7GCBC (N90974), Fairbanks, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive use of brakes during landing, which resulted in a noseover.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
