## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE FROM KOKOMO, IN (OKK) TO SOUTH ST. PAUL, MN (SGS). WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 4,500 FT., THE ENGINE SEIZED AND THE PROPELLER STOPPED. THE PILOT MADE A FORCED LANDING IN A ROLLING SOY BEAN FIELD IN THE VICINITY OF SOUTH WAYNE, WI. DURING THE LANDING ROLL, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR SEPARATED AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE EMPENNAGE AND LEFT WING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
