## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING FINAL APPROACH INTO CDW, THE TOWER WAS ALERTED OF DEERS IN THE RUNWAY, FOLLOWED BY NOTIFICATION THAT THEY HAD RUN AWAY TOWARDS THE T HANGERS. THE CREW ON AIRCRAFT N847NG WERE AWARE AND CONTINUED WITH THEIR VISUAL APPROACH. THEY WERE PREPARED TO DO A GO AROUND IF NEEDED. AS THEY CROSSED THE FENCE TOWARDS FINAL, THEY DID NOT SEE ANY DEER ON OR NEAR THE RUNWAY. THEY PROCEEDED TO LAND. CAPT REQUESTED GROUND FLAPS AND STARTED BREAKING. AT MID POINT OF RUNWAY, A DEER RAN FROM LEFT TO RIGHT 75 FEET IN FRONT OF THEM FOLLOWED BY A 2ND DEER. THE 2ND DEER STRUCK IN THE LEFT LEADING EDGE WING AND THE TRAILING EDGE FLAP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
